When we raised alpacas in Utah the barn was a mess with hay all over the floor and in the animals. That made it very difficult on shearing day and their fiber was so hard to clean loaded with hay. No more hay head like in the photo!

The pvc bars are spaced just far enough that the alpacas can get in and eat, but not stick their heads all the way to the bottom to get the sweet crunchy bits.

When we used these boxed there was at least a 75% reduction of hay waste on the ground. Hay prices are high so save the hay that's edible.
